Good afternoon all,
I'm home from the great Northwest. Missed my connecting flight in San Fran due to a late take off in Portland, so I took the red eye home to Nashville....Then I slept until 4pm the next day! There are fires in LA, south of Portland in the Columbia River Gorge in WA. These are all in the path that I traveled and it affected air traffic. Really hoping these fires will end soon. After I left Portland, the city began to be covered in ash. My goodness.
Photo taken on my drive back from the Tumbleweed Fest., along the Columbia River Gorge. I was on my way back to Portland when I saw this cloud of smoke. The fire has devastated the heart of the state's nature area. Homes are now being threatened.
Today I hop in the truck and head for Cincinnati for a show at theListing Loon tonight. I'm sharing the bill with a group of artists who were booked at another venue but that venue shut its doors. I was asked if they could share tonight's bill at The LL with me and I said, sure! Here are the acts performing with me tonight:
She-ep, she plays heartfelt songs on guitar and a lot of ambient noises from her keyboard.Dane Rousay - solo percussion. https://www.danerousay.com/
More Eaze - Electronic pop deconstruction. https://moreeaze.bandcamp.com/
Alex Cunningham - solo violin-drone. https://personalarchives.bandcamp.com/album/ache
We'll all meet for the first time tonight. I'm looking forward to hearing them.
I will go on at 9pm as planned.
Then it's on to Akron for a performance at Jilly's Music Room with me, Pete and Kelly. Fri., Sept. 8, Show starts at 7:30.

Here are some photos from the road:
While waiting for my flight from San Fran, I got to spend time with my sweet sweet boys, Tony and Dan. This is a 1961 Ford...Tony's dream car. He took me riding! Wing windows, no power steering and windows young ones would not know how to open!
Along the Columbia River Gorge...more of these...maybe fewer forest fires?
View from a replica of Stonehenge which was built as a tribute to soldiers....I don't know... Goldendale WA
Stonehenge replica. People left coins on part of this and I really wanted them.
Here's the low down on the Stonehenge.
My first show in the Northwest....The Waypost, Portland OR
That's all for now. Coming soon, my rant about women's high school sports!
Peace,
