Greetings to you all and welcome new mailing list members,
I cannot write this without talking about the awful event in San Bernardino last week. My heart goes out to all those who were injured, those who lived through the horror of the mass shooting at Inland Regional Center and to those who lost their loved ones. I hope your community and our country continues to surround you with love and support. I was on the road this past week performing in Alabama. After hearing the news from California, Frye and I added "Light the Weary World" to our set to, as best we can, express our feelings about what has become and all too common occurance in our country. My week in Alabama was full and successful. Lots of new people heard my music and now have it in their CD players. That's always exciting for an artist. I was honored to be part of the round in Silverhill @ the awesome, Frog Pond at Blue Moon Farm. It's such a unique venue...never seen another like it. Bravo Cathe Steele for creating such a wonderful spot for people to hear music. I did an open mic at Florabama on Gulf Shores on Monday. Thank you to host, Cathy Pace for letting me jump up and do a mini set and for joining me on bass. Frye and I performed "Watermelon Wine and the Poetry of Americana Music" at The All Saints Episcopal Church in Mobile and at Hank Williams Boyhood Home and Museum in Georgiana AL. What a treat to sit in Hank William's living room and play. I'll be sporting my "Hank" hat a lot in the coming weeks. The Church in Mobile was beautiful and the sound just great. Thank you to Rev. Jim Flowers for hosting us.
Friday night I was in downtown Jasper AL performing at Bare Bones Cargo . Thanks to Holly Trawick for putting this show together and to all the sweet people in Jasper who came out to listen. I headed back to Nashville Friday night and performed in the Viva NashVegas Radio Show at Kimbro's Picking Parlor in Franklin TN yesterday.
Tomorrow Kelly, Pete and I will be in downtown Cleveland for an interview with Dee Perry on WCPN 90.3FM on Tuesday, Dec. 8. Tune in at 2pm (EST) I believe we will be aired around 2:20pm then again at 10:40pm.
Then it's a full band show at The Phantasy (blast from the past!) in Lakewood on Sat., Dec. 12th @ 8pm. For tickets click here
GOOD NEWS this week. "The Sun Coming In" has charted! Check this out from Roots Music Report...
Alternative Folk Album Chart
All of this is possible because I have a great radio promoter, Bill Wence, and that's possibe because of you and all your support in the making and promotion of this record. THANK YOU!!!!! Remember to call or email your local independent radio station and request a song from "The Sun Coming In".
Hoping to see lots of you this coming week.
Nashville, I've got some things cooking and hope to have a full band show in Music City in early spring.
All of you take care!
Anne E.
