Train Song exists because I listened to a train. I traveled toward me, along a track in Ontario Canada and evoked a feeling I often get when I hear a train approach; the feeling that I am back in time. When the train gets to me I am moved into the present. But the present in this context is fleeting. The cars click by, and the train's whistle becomes distant. I am catapulted into the future. As I listen to a train hear my gypsy soul whispering to me. Hear yours in "Train Song".

TRAIN SONG - by Anne E. DeChant Copyright 2018
Everybody’s got a train song
A gotta go and search my soul song
A hit the track might not come back song
A run from my past damn love don’t last song
Hear the whistle blow
Whispering to your gypsy soul
Like them Folsom Prison Blues
You got walls holding you
Hear the whistle blow
Everybody’s got a story
A fall down hard a glimpse of glory
A woulda coulda done if only
A she broke my heart and left me lonely
Hear the whistle blow
Whispering to your gypsy soul
Like them Folsom Prison Blues
You got walls holding you
Hear the whistle blow
Everybody’s got a wish
A go back and get something I missed
An I’d a dared but I was scared to take a risk
An I shoulda leaned in for that kiss
Hear the whistle blow
Whispering to your gypsy soul
Like them Folsom Prison Blues
You got walls you can't move
Hear the whistle blow
